I came here twice. The first time was for lunch and I had their lunch special, which was the fish and rice. Second time, I came was for dinner time. It was also great. Ordered dumplings, eggplants and scallion pancakes. Food was great, servers were friendly and the decor was classy. This will be one of my go to spots in NYC now.

My friend and I popped in here in a haze of hunger. The service was quick and the food was delicious! It was a sunday afternoon so the restaurant was pretty quiet, but still quite busy!

My girlfriend and I have been going to Ollie's for years and we've never once been disappointed. The food is always plentiful and delicious. The service is always prompt and the waiters let you eat in peace. We've eaten our way through a decent portion of the menu over the years. The pricing is also pretty good, especially given inflation lately. During our most recent visit, we had the wonton in red sesame oil as an appetizer. That would be our favourite and most recommended appetizer. We shared a plate of roast pork udon noodles. I ordered the chicken with eggplant in garlic sauce for the first time, which may be my new favourite thing here. My girlfriend got the sweet and sour chicken, which is what kept her coming back to Ollie's for years. The entrees also come with bowls of white rice. The portions are always big and we always leave with enough food for another meal. We'll definitely continue to come back for years to come.

Ollie's lunch specials are very good, and a good deal, too. I did two take out orders...garlic chicken and the mixed vegetables. Each comes with a pint of white rice, and miso soup. I enjoyed each dish. The garlic chicken was an Americanized Cantonese- style with a reddish sweet and sour type sauce...done very well. The chicken is tender, nicely velveted, with tasty tree ear mushrooms. The mixed vegetables had a nice variety including asparagus and baby corn. Both came in a deceptively small container but were filled to the brim, perfectly adequate for one person, especially at lunchtime. The miso soup was excellent! Packing was good. The price was a real bargain. They have more authentic Chinese food available. I just did not order it this time. I hope to return for dinner to try other dishes.

Nice selection of dishes. Really wanted dim sum but went w/ lunch special: Ma Po Tofu w/ Brown rice & hot & sour soup. Perfect amount of spice for me in the Ma Po Tofu. I found it interesting that no one offered me chop sticksWait staff were attentive but not very welcoming to me or the other Caucasian who came in after me...‍

The staff is very enthusiastic and can speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin. The menu has Szechuan, Hunan, Cantonese and Northeastern dishes, and there are so many different kinds of dishes that you don't know what to eat. I ended up ordering the restaurant's main course of Szechuan food, spicy chicken, chopped pepper fish fillet, cold cucumber, hot noodles, shrimp dumplings.

This is our go-to spot when we're in Hell's Kitchen seeking seasoned tender roasted Duck with crispy steamed fresh string beans, consistently friendly customer service, and drinks. It is one of our favorite restaurants not only because the Duck is crisp and moist, but mostly because of the service. We feel as if we are welcomed to take our time, relax, and not rushed out like an assembly line. Did I mention that alcohol is available? Yassssss! Cheers. Ollie's is a great way to enjoy classic traditional Cantonese and Sichuan dishes, delicious drinks, and teas in the greatest city in the world. Please add them to your go-to list next time you're in NYC.
